I am the VP of business Development for BlueHost and have been with the company for three years. In this role I handle all of the marketing initiatives and corporate partnerships.

The founders of BlueHost have been in the hosting industry since 1996 when the web was just starting to be born. BlueHost currently has over 250 employees and all are located here in the USA.

BlueHost provides all of our customers with a few incredible tools as well as a proprietary server monitoring system. One of our best tools is SimpleScripts which allows our customers to install a blog, photogallery, e-commerce store etc. with the click of a button. It also provides them with current software updates to help protect them from hacking attempts and malware.
Your customer support has been given many awards for being the best, why does BlueHost feel customer support is so important and what do you do to offer such great customer support?
BlueHost has always taken support seriously. This is one of the main reasons we are adamant about keeping our support here locally and not outsourcing to another country. We feel the ability to communicate clearly and in the native language of the customer directly reflects on the customers satisfaction. We also believe in making ourselves available and have support offered via phone, email and online helpdesk 24/7.
BlueHost currently has over 1 million domains on their servers which is great. What do you have planned in the future that is going to make BlueHost even better than it already is?
BlueHost has always been a leading innovator in the shared hosting sector. We are currently completing a number of major hardware and software management tools that will provide our customers with better reporting and performance.
BlueHost recently underwent a change in their security and CPU usage. Could you please talk about that briefly and how that will affect your users?
Over the past three years we have been developing a number of tools in house that better utilize the Linux system to manage resources on the fly including CPU, IO, Memory, Bandwidth, MYSQL Databasing and more. These tools allow us to monitor all sites on our network in real time and ensure that one user does not negatively impact the performance of the other websites on a shared server. We also have the ability to temporarily boost server resources for a site that is receiving high amounts of traffic due to press, marketing campaigns etc. This allows us to not have sites going down or having CPU exceeded errors etc. for customers.
